Due to various problems at manufacturing sites, The RX-78NT-1 was planned to utilize new weapons exclusive to the NT-1.  Due to different beam focusing equipment and units, as well as other independently developed devices, the abilities and form of these weapons is particularly unique.

One Year War Duty Assignment: Zeon Military, Space Attack Corps

Birth Year, Place: Unknown, Side 3

Career accomplishments: Participated in the Battle of Loum in January 0079, where he was credited with sinking six ships, making him one of Zeon’s top ‘Ship Aces’ at the time.   On October 6th, 0079, he assembled a special strike force to suppress the White Base, and dropped to Earth.   This force engaged the White Base several times, and after forming a guerilla force under his ‘M3 operation’, was able to get close to the White Base, but after sustaining wounds inside the enemy ship, determined his own fate.

‘The Blue Giant’ was this Zeon Soldier’s alternate name, highly skilled in commanding Guerilla operations, and Mobile Suit Piloting, where he piloted his MS-07B Gouf against the White Base’s Ace, Amuro Ray in his RX-78-2 Gundam, ultimately fighting the Gundam to an even match in combat.

Return of the Valkyrie

In 2025, a single Valkyrie was recovered in Lunar Orbit.  Though more or less intact, it had suffered severe damage, and all onboard systems had stopped.  Thought to have been shot down and abandoned in the First Space War, and fearing possible Zentraedi booby traps, it was carefully brought to the Moon's Apollo base for examination, where an astonishing discovery was made.

Yes, the ACL-98 Larder article is a bit hard to read.  It's a pretty close reflection of the Japanese, which is also fairly awkwardly worded in a lot of cases.  Additionally, there seems to be some confusion if the designation is 'ACL-98' or 'AFL-98'.  I'll have to look into it a little more.

At any rate, I'm working on another large feature, featuring one of the three silhouettes above.  Any guesses as to which one?

Also, after this feature, I think I'm going to move into some model kit manual translations, there's a lot of interesting things, particularly in the old MSV series.    If you have a kit that you want to know more about, I'm accepting scans!

ACL-98 Larder

A new Military Labor concept which serves as a battlefield command post.

As seen in examples with the Hannibal and Brocken, some of a military labor's most effective roles are riot control in conflict areas.   Conversely, while this is not the only role that other existing weapons systems are used in, there has been an trend in recent years to more clearly define labor 'roles'.

Sharing the same basic frame as the Geara Zulu to place it firmly in the era of Gundam UC, it is also drawn with the traditional Zeon Aquatic MS-like silhouette, creating an excellent design that visually fits the setting and meets the demands of the story.

One of MS that would form the initial backbone of the Titans' MS corps, also used for extensive testing with the Titans Test Team.

(TL note: I have listed the equivalent Army and Navy ranks for each officer rank, as Bandai has chosen the Naval ranks to be officially localized to the English-language releases, but the enlisted ranks in Japanese are definitely Army ranks only, so I did not list Naval ranks there.   Because of this discrepancy, I will use Army ranks elsewhere on the site.)

Though many parts of the Zeon Military uniforms remain mysterious, the military ranks basically follow the chart below.  A detailed explanation of the different types of rank insignia are explained in detail below.

Within the history of Labors that now spans five generations, there is one machine cursed with poor fortune.   This machine is most likely Manabe Heavy Industry’s Second-Generation Patrol Labor, the MPL-97S 'Python'.
